The Wych Elm Project
Opening later than advertised as the inaugural exhibition in the John Hope Gateway, which opens later this year. The Wych Elm Project is a celebration of one of Scotland's most important but often overlooked native trees. It features work by some of Scotland's leading craftspeople and makers using material from a giant and much loved wych elm that was felled in the Botanic Garden in 2003. It also reports on the wych elm community projects that combine creativity and conservation.
