NOAH'S ARK RE-OPENS WITH A SPLASH!

Noah's Ark Zoo Farm re-opens on Saturday 7th February 2009 for its tenth year with lots of new and exciting animals and improvements. During the winter, visitors and members from around the world have been watching the tapir webcam in anticipation for Tara, the resident Brazilian tapir to give birth. Now in her last stage of pregnancy, Noah's Ark will be welcoming the new arrival anytime soon. Look out for the baby tapir in February! Also for 2009 is a new Aviary Walkway which boasts waterfalls, duck ponds and exotic birds. To celebrate this new development, Noah's Ark welcomes new feather friend arrivals including white peacocks, golden pheasants, black swans and guinea fowl with visitors able to feed the ducks and swans.
This new area will help educate visitors about different and endangered species of birds and also will play a major part in the conservations developments. A new land drainage system has been placed to help re-cycle water used in our three ponds.
Another new addition for 2009 will be our Welly- Splash Pool where visitors can bring their raincoats and wellies and jump and splash whatever the weather.
Other new developments also include a new patio and decking area for the café, visitors will now have a chance to eat and relax in a new seating area at the back of the café.
Daily events include the Animal Show, Bottle-feeding of the lambs, Tractor Rides, Birds of Prey Displays and Keeper Talks.
