The Mother Earth of all adventures. Go where no man has gone before, as you journey to the centre of the Earth. Travel back in time to witness the Big Bang through the eyes of the Hubble Telescope. You'll be shaken by erupting volcanoes, fly over glaciers, dive into the oceans and feel the chill of polar ice. You could even get caught in a tropical rainstorm. Take your crew seat in the FutureDome. Travel through time and face the challenges that affect our rollercoaster planet.
State of the earth
Each time a baby is born you'll know about it. If there's
a volcano or an earthquake you'll be the first to see it. Dramatic footage from outer space allows you to watch as different weather fronts affect our planet.
The time machine
Watch history pass through 4,500 million years. From the Space Age to the Ice Age, you are taken back to when time began.
How it all started
Witness the spectacular Big Bang and the formation of the universe from the bridge of a space ship. Discover how the Earth formed from a ball of swirling, poisonous gases and was later bombarded by
meteorites.
The restless earth
Enter a world of volcanoes and ground- shattering earthquakes, a world constantly on the move. Feel the Earth shake beneath your feet, smell the smoky sulphur of a volcano and watch in awe as boiling lava rushes quickly towards you.
Shaping the surface
Prepare yourself for an epic flight over mountains and above vast glaciers and discover how the surface of our planet has been sculptured by awesome forces.
Casualties & survivors
Follow the precarious path of evolution and meet some of the winners and losers in
life's struggle for survival. Experience a freezing Ice Age, feel the heat of a dust storm and discover why the dinosaurs died out.
The oceans
Dive beneath the waves in a yellow submarine. Through the portholes you'll see weird and wonderful creatures. You'll explore colourful coral reefs, follow migrating whales, plunge deep into the abyss and discover what lives under the polar ice.
Polar regions
Visit the poles and surround yourself with some of the most dramatic scenery on Earth. Feel the chill of sub-zero temperatures, watch as polar bears
make their way across the snow, hear the thunderous sound of icebergs crashing into the sea.
Journey of contrasts
Travel from one extreme to another as you are taken through every environment on Earth, from the freezing tundra to the dry heat of the savanna. Experience each environment as it changes from night to day and from season to season.
The tropical Rainforest
Feel the steamy heat of the tropics as you look up into the towering trees of the tropical Rainforest. You'll glimpse creatures that live at every level
of the forest, from the monkeys high up in the canopy to predators peering out from the undergrowth. But be prepared to get splashed during one of the torrential rainstorms.Other facilities:
