    East Barcloy is a small beef farm situated on the Colvend coast between Colvend and Sandyhills.

    We have two rooms finished to the highest standard both with breathtaking views over Colvend.

    Guests can use the heated outdoor swimming pool(May-September).
    There are also sun loungers if you want to relax with a book and let the day drift by.

    Breakfast is served in the conservatory where you can enjoy a traditional Scottish breakfast using local award winning produce, or a continental breakfast with fresh croissants baked that morning, or just dig into a bowl of fresh strawberries grown on the farm (in season).

    Deluxe king en-suite, finished to a high standard this room offers double aspect of the rolling countryside.

    While you are relaxing after a busy day you can take in the breathtaking views over Colvend and beyond.

    The room has a television and hot drink making facilities.

    Twin en-suite, finished to a very high standard this room also offer double aspect as well as a walk in wardrobe.

    The livingroom offers plenty of sitting areas including a bay window again offering beautiful views of the fields and beyond.

    There is a heated outdoor swimming pool available to guests. This is heated to a good temperature and can be used even during
    inclement weather as it stays warm. (May-September.)

    The farm is a good base to explore various walks which will take you over Barcloy Hill and into Dalbeattie Forest.

    We also have a small shop selling beautiful Portugese Pottery, Cotton Tea towels, Homemade preserves and fresh strawberries and raspberries when in season.

    Being blessed with the Gulf stream the climate in Dumfries and Galloway has helped produce some of the best gardens in Scotland.

    Threave Garden and Estate in Castle Douglas, Logan Botanicial Gardens in Portpatrick and Drumlanrig Castle Gardens in Thornhill to name a few.

    Golf courses, the nearest is Colvend's 18 Hole Course which is about two miles from the farm.

    The famous Links course at Southerness, designed by MacKenzie Ross in 1947 is about 18 miles from us.

    Kippford also offers a 9 hole Pitch and Putt.

    Dumfries and Galloway offers 5 of the 7 staines cycle routes (Ae, Mabie, Dalbeattie, Kirroughtree and Glentrool Forest)

    Dalbeattie Forest backs onto the farm with easy access into the woods by the Public Hall in Colvend.

    Dumfies and Galloway offers miles and miles of forest trails and 200 miles of Coastline.

    From the farm there is a gentle walk over Barcloy Hill and down into Dalbeattie Forest.

    There are also coastal walks starting from Sandyhills, Portling, Rockcliffe and Kippford.
