Arundel Holt Court is a large family home in the hills close to Petworth, Pulborough, Billingshurst, Fittleworth and Wisborough Green. It is in a hillside clearing in part of the oldest beech forest in the country.
In fact, the house is named after these woods - Arundel Holt. The house has been added to over the years and the oldest part is about 200 years and probably started as charcoal burners' cottages.
We are very well situated for Goodwood and its many varied activities (Festival of Speed, Glorious Goodwood or the Goodwood Revival) and the Polo at Cowdray Park, Midhurst.
Nearby Petworth is a lovely market town, and its many antique shops attract visitors from around the world. We are also very close to Haslemere, Midhurst and the South Coast.
Bedham is a tiny hamlet but has had both the composer Sir Edward Elgar and the writer Ford Madox Ford as earlier inhabitants.
The house has a spectacular view to the East, which is constantly changing. With a tripod mounted telescope, it is possible to see the radar tower at Gatwick Airport, almost 20 miles away.
We're thinking of changing the house's name to Gatwick View.
Despite being in this wonderful, isolated and quiet location Pulborough Station, just over an hour from London Victoria, is less than ten minutes drive away, as is the market town of Petworth.
Breakfast is Peter's speciality and he believes his scrambled eggs are the 8th Wonder of the World. There are many varied and excellent local places to eat, or if you would prefer a 2 or 3 course dinner can be provided, subject to it being requested well in advance.
Our eggs mainly come from our own very free range hens, who will quite often greet you on the drive, along with the dogs and cats.
Our aim is to provide a stylish and relaxed pace for you to stay, in a truly stunning location and we look forward to welcoming you.

| Directions | |
| Leave Petworth east on the A272, measure from the mini-roundabout on the edge of the town. After exactly 2 miles on a left hand bend there is a lane to the right signposted to Bedham. Take it, watch out for the hairpin bend! After another 1.8 miles the house is on the left, enter by the second gate. If you reach a T junction you have overshot by about 140 yards. |
