Helen and John welcome you to Steep Meadow. We are an excellent base for exploring the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean amidst the most picturesque scenery in England.
Enjoy the changing colours of autumn, bird watching, visiting historic buildings, walking, cycling or just relax and unwind in the peace and quiet.
We are easy to find just off the A4136 - 3 miles from Coleford, Monmouth and Symond'sYat, near to The Wye Valley Walk and Offa's Dyke Path.
Relaxed and friendly, Steep Meadow is a smallholding peacefully located in 3 acres. We keep goats, hens, Dexter cows, Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs and bees - plus 2 little rescue dogs.
The house is a blend of old and new with panoramic views of the countryside. There is a guests' sitting room with large windows, to take in the view and a log burner to snuggle up in front of, in the colder months.
Steep Meadow B/B has two newly decorated bedrooms, both with
en-suite shower rooms. Each room has lovely comfortable beds with crisp cotton bedding and hypo-allergenic duvets and pillows.
Plus underfloor heating, tea/coffee making facilities, colour television, toiletries, hairdryers and lovely views.
Each room has a selection of books and tourist information for you to browse through.
The Oak room has a door onto its own patio, with stone table and comfy chairs.
The ingredients for our cooked breakfasts are sourced from local suppliers in the Wye Valley, or the Forest of Dean and are organic and Fair trade whenever possible.
We use our own eggs, bacon and sausages, homemade preserves and always have Aga baked bread, made from organic flour from Shipton Mill.
Breakfast is served between 8am and 9.30am - you can choose when to eat.
Evening meals by prior arrangement.
Join us for a weekend, or stay for a week: you will be made very welcome
