In the heart of 1066 Country close to the historic Cinque Ports of Rye 5m Winchelsea 2m and Hastings 7m and some fantastic beaches.
We are surrounded by beautiful countryside, apple orchards with many public footpaths and a nature conservation wood, within easy walking distance from the house.
The Queen's Head is a popular, dog friendly pub five minutes walk away, with outside tables and spectacular views of the Brede Valley, the sea, and Rye.
We have ample parking space in the drive and the gates are locked at night.
The two bedrooms are at the top of the house, with delightful views over the garden and towards the Norman church, both have double beds with en-suite bathrooms. Wireless broadband is available for all our guests.
In residence are Bertie and Dennis our two cats and our dog Max. If you want to bring your pet let us know and we will explain the house rules.
Frances & John are the new owners of this charming B&B and follow in the traditions of our predecessors Colin & Claire; like them we too are passionate about hospitality and food in general.
We provide seasonal local produce in particular and continue to source as much as we can locally, we hope the breakfast menu reflects this enthusiasm.

| Directions | |
| From Winchelsea: Follow the road down the hill, look for the Icklesham town sign on the left, then another small 30 mph sign, just before the entrance to the church car park. Make a sharp left turn and then turn right onto the drive, which leads up to the house gates. From Hastings Take the A259 through Ore and Guestling to reach Icklesham and keep on going through the village, until you see a small 30 mph sign on the right and turn immediately in to the church car park. Even without a car it is possible to explore the area. A taxi to us from the station in Rye costs about £7, £10 from Hastings, or take the bus and get off at the first Icklesham stop from Winchelsea, the last from Hastings. There are buses which go to Rye on the Dover route and to Hastings once an hour. We are situated right next door to the church. |
