Jane looks forward to welcoming you at Hill Crest, a delightful and friendly Lake district guest house, located 1 mile from the Southern end of Lake Windermere.
Hill Crest prides itself on the high standard of accommodation and cleanliness throughout. All rooms are very individual, ranging from double, twin, 4 poster suite and family ( with its unique adjoining room for the children) all en-suite.
Rooms are equipped with TVs(some are flat screen) beverage trays, hair dryers and radio clock alarms and toiletries in all shower rooms.
All rooms have super views of the Lake district fells and on clear evenings the sun sets on the horizon are spectacular!
Jane, a trained chef who has run restaurant kitchens, assures you of a delicious breakfast! We offer a range of options to cater for all tastes, from the substantial Cumbrian full, to lighter bites and vegetarian alternatives, all from fresh local produce.
We are ideally located for visiting the Lakes, mountains and the Sea, and for walking ( walking books available).
Many attractions are close by - The Haverthwaite and Lakeside Steam railway ( in walking distance), Steam cruises on Lake Windermere, Aquarium of the lakes, Fellfoot Park, Stott Park bobbin mill, Holker Hall and Gardens, Motor car museum, Cartmel steeplechase horse races, Dalton Wild animal Park, Beatrix Potter Museum, Laural & Hardy Museum, glass Centre and more.
We are only 10 mins drive from Bowness, 15 mins from Hawkshead and 20 mins from Coniston and Ambleside. Cartmel is just over 5 mins away.
We are a non smoking establishment and unfortunately do not except pets.
We have off road parking and secure storage for bikes.
Hill Crest has a friendly informal atmosphere, which creates a real 'home from home' environment, to which you will want to return, time and time again. See my guests comments.

| Take Junction 36 off M6, follow signs for Barrow A590, for 15 miles passing through Newby Bridge. Still on A590 and then taking 1st left 1 mile after Newby Bridge, in to Brow Edge Road. Hill Crest is 1/4 mile approx from main road, on hill on right hand side. |
