  • We have a very large ground floor room, an annex to our house, where we provide bed and breakfast accommodation.. The room is 5m by 5m, with a king-sized bed, tea and coffee facilities, fridge and microwave. The en-suite has a power shower.

A full grilled Foresters breakfast is served in our dining room; our younger visitors are fascinated to watch our pet goats and sheep while having breakfast.

There is a well equipped kitchen/diner with fridge freezer, cooker, grill, washing machine, microwave and toaster.

The homely lounge with log fire is an attractive place to relax.

Alvington is on the edge of the Forest and half a mile from the banks of the River Severn. Historic Chepstow, with its racecourse and golf resort, is at the foot of the Wye Valley seven miles away.

Lydney is 2 miles away, Coleford eight, and Bristol is a 35-minute run across the Severn Bridge.

This is also a handy place to stay for the Cotswolds, the Cheltenham Gold Cup and the Millenium Stadium at Cardiff.
