    At our friendly B&B, we aim to welcome you as strangers and say goodbye to you as friends!

    Scarrscroft is situated in the beautiful North Yorkshire village of Thornton le Dale and is in the North York Moors National Park.

    Within easy reach, are not only the lovely North Yorkshire moors, including Goathland (Aidensfield in TV's Heartbeat), but also the Dalby Forest, Whitby and Scarborough on the Yorkshire coast and the historic city of York.

    We have a comfortable double room on the ground floor, with colour TV, hairdryer, complimentary tea/coffee making facilities, radio alarm clock, and guests' own private access from the garden, so you can come and go as you please. The room has an en-suite bathroom with bath, shower, WC and washbasin.

    Parking is available in our spacious drive and the house is only five minutes walk from the centre of the village.

    In the mornings, breakfast can be served at a time to suit you, in our homely dining room.

    Dinner is not provided, but there are five eating establishments in the village, with several more in Pickering only two miles away.

    For the comfort of all our guests, we do not accept pets and smoking is not allowed in the rooms.

    £50.00 to £60.00 per room per night (from £35.00 single occupancy).

    Turn onto Roxby Road (first road on the right in the village, when coming from Pickering).
    Then take second right into Farmanby Close. We are the sixth house on the left.
