    Black Cat B&B is situated in possibly the best street in Bathford, peaceful and charming; a quiet country retreat and yet only 3 miles from the centre of Historic Bath.

    Enjoy views of wonderful John Wood mansions in honey coloured Bath stone, with many delightful village walks, some on level ground.

    We have just one room, which can be arranged as a king sized double or 2 single beds; it has its own private shower room and is situated on the ground floor near the front door. There is ample parking.

    Great care is taken to select only the best and tastiest ingredients for breakfast and locally source products are used where ever possible. The sausages are sent direct from Ludlow and are produced by a local butcher from rare breeds - usually Berkshire Black, these really are quite delicious.

    In the warmer weather guests are welcome to enjoy the cottage style gardens and breakfast can be served on the terrace.

    Getting into Bath is easy, either by car, or be green (and use your senior UK bus pass) as the buses are excellent and usually run every 15 minutes.

    There is a lovely walk into the City along the Kennet and Avon Canal, which is approximately 3.5 miles. Or, in the summer you can enjoy a trip to Bath along the river Avon, in the Pultney Princess motor cruiser, which leaves from Bathampton Mill.

    We are also ideally placed for trips to the Cotswolds, Lacock, Stonehenge and Avebury stone circles.

    Light suppers and packed lunches can be provided at a very reasonable cost. Please order in advance.

    Jennifer Ferriday is an Artist/Potter and you are welcome to explore her studio; there is pottery for sale too - take back a souvenir of your stay, or do your Christmas shopping!
