Coast House is a newly refurbished townhouse, situated on Tregenna Terrace with ample parking nearby, offering very comfortable accommodation all year round.
Our guest house is situated on the seaward side of St.Ives, offering arguably the most magnificent views across the town and harbour; the open ocean, with breathtaking coastal scenery and beyond.
Coast House is a victorian town house built in 1870, for a shipping merchant. In 1903-07 the house was occupied by the American impressionist Walter Elmer Schofield RBA ROI (1867-1944), who was regarded as one of America's leading landscape painters. During his time in St Ives he was a very active member of the arts club.
Today it has been carefully restored and offers clean and modern accomodation.
A varied breakfast menu is available each day including, fresh fruit a choice of cereals, fruit juice, full English, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, and vegetarian options; we source our food locally and only use free range eggs.
Room only, is also available for those guests who wish to enjoy our rooms a little longer.
A warm welcome and comfortable stay awaits you, whether you are visiting St. Ives for a short break or a longer holiday

| Directions | |
| Take the A3074 to St Ives: Proceed on this route via Lelant and Carbis Bay to St Ives. Entering the town along Trelyon Avenue you pass a Ford dealership and then come to a fork with the Porthminster Hotel on your right hand side. Take a right turn proceeding down the hill, with the sea on your right hand side. As you enter the town you will pass the Malakoff Bus Station on the right, as the road bears to the left and then to the right by the Roman Catholic Church. At this point you are at Tregenna Hill. Proceed down the hill and take the first left by the National Westminster Bank into Gabriel Street. Continue on this road to the first mini roundabout, turning sharp left into Park avenue, just past the old primary school/Stennack surgery. Drive approx 50 yards and you will see a car park on your right... Just 100 yards further down, you should be able to see our sign (COASTHOUSE) a double fronted Victorian property painted pale blue. You can stop outside to unload and then use the car-park, which you passed earlier to park. |
