Longbar Farm is situated in the centre of a pretty village, tucked away in a quiet lane in glorious open countryside, four miles from both the historic abbey town of Sherborne, with its two castles (one built by Sir Walter Raleigh) on the A30 and Wincanton on the A303.

Warm welcome with cup of tea/coffee and home-made cake on arrival. Hearty English breakfasts with home-made preserves.

If you are looking for a base for touring, or just somewhere to relax and enjoy the country tranquility, than look no further.

Nearby there are over 1,000 miles of paths and tracks suitable for cycling or walking; we are withing a short distance of Haynes Motor Museum, Longleat, Glastonbury, Wells, Stourhead and many National Trust properties and gardens; if you wish to stray a little further, Bath and the Jurassic coast are approximately 1 hours distance.

Directions

From Sherborne (A30) - take the B3145 towards Wincanton: When entering Charlton Horethorne, immediately past the school, turn left into Cowpath Lane. Follow up the lane for about 100 yards and turn right into Level Lane. You will see the sign for Longbar Farm on your left, after about 75 yards. From Wincanton (A303) - Take the A357 and B3145 towards Sherborne: When entering Charlton Horethorne, follow past the pub until you see the church on your left. Turn right into Cowpath Lane and follow up the lane for about 100 yards and turn right into Level Lane. You will see the sign for Longbar Farm on your left, after about 75 yards.
