    Situated only ten miles from the centre of Edinburgh, Highfield House, a former manse, is the ideal place to visit many of Scotland's most historic and beautiful places.

    St Andrews, Stirling, Loch Lomond, The Tossachs and Borders are only an hour's drive away and make for a good day's outing; we are very happy to provide suggestions and itineries.

    Highfield is only 15 minutes from the airport and has easy access to the city centre, (train station is 3 minutes walk) bus, or the park and ride (4 miles).

    Standing in its own lovely grounds of about two acres, Jill is very proud of her potager and there is also a tennis court. (we are happy to supply balls and rackets).

    Providing a quiet oasis away from the bustle of the city, we offer our guests a most comfortable and relaxed stay.

    Spacious and sunny bedrooms, with either en-suite or private bathrooms; all rooms are supplied with electric blankets, hairdryers, TVs and a welcome tray; large super king double beds with pure cotton sheets.

    Breakfast is taken round the large oak table in the magnificent dining room; we serve fruits (from the garden)yoghourt, cereals, the full cooked breakfast with free range eggs etc, and home made jams.

    Evenings can be spent in our gracious sitting room with its open log fire.

    Pricing and Opening Times
    Seasons Open: Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter.

    Double en-suite rooms: £37.50 to £42.00 per person per night.
    Double with private bathroom: £35.00 to £39.00.
    Single occupancy of en-suite rooms: £50.00 - £70.00 per night.
    Single occupancy of room with private bathroom: £45.00 - £65.00 per night.

    We are open all year round except for Christmas.
