    Situated on the Wiltshire/Dorset border in lovely countryside, within easy reach of the medieval hill top town of Shaftesbury (10 minutes to the West and the Cathedral city of Salisbury (30 minutes) to the East.

    The attractive village of Donhead S. Andrew lies between Salisbury Plain with the A303 to the North and Cranborne Chase with the A30 to the South.

    Mereworth House is ideally located for exploring some of the most beautiful parts of Southern England, where there are numerous places to visit, including Stonehenge, Longleat and the Safari Park, Stourhead House and Gardens, Wilton House and Wardour Castle, just to name a few.

    The whole area is also renowned for its numerous footpaths and bridleways, which provide wonderful walking and cycling; these include The Ox Drove, Wardour Woods, The Wessex Ridgeway, Fontmell Down, Melbury Beacon and Win Green with views on a clear day to the Isle of Wight.

    The area is blessed with excellent pubs, restaurants and cafes, many of which can be incorporated into circular walks.

    Our own village pub, The Forester, is only a few minutes walk away where a warm welcome is assured and excellent food (seafood a speciality) is served.

    We want our guests to feel this is a special place to stay, so we will only take a booking for one room unless the second is required for family or friends.
