    A beautiful, family run guest house in Alum Chine, ideally situated just a short stroll down the wooded chine, to the to the award winning seven-mile sandy beach of Bournemouth and Poole and close to the boutique shops and restaurants of Westbourne.

    Our six double/twin rooms and two single rooms all have en-suite or private bathrooms with Freeview TV, complimentary fairtrade tea and coffee and Wifi Internet access; large guest lounge and patio garden.

    Thanet House was built in 1884 as part of the Alum Chine Estate.

    Originally the mill owner's family home, it stood on open heath land; the mill no longer remains, but the beautiful woodland chine has been preserved and laid with footpaths,

    We are fully licenced, with off road parking.

    Directions
    Take the M25, then the M3, M27 and A31 to Ringwood.
    From London and the North:
    Follow the A338 becoming A35 to Bournemouth.
    At junction with B3065 (Liverpool Victoria gyratory) take second exit B3065 The Avenue.
    Take first left (at traffic lights) onto Western Road.
    Take first right (at roundabout) onto Alumhurst Road.
    Drury Road is second on the left.

    From the West:
    Head for Poole on the A35. Follow above directions from B3065.
