Homefield Cottage, an idyllic place to stay; it is situated in the most tranquil of settings at the end of a quiet country lane, no through traffic or road noise; surrounded by country-side with views to Cheddar Gorge and Crook Peak and yet within easy reach of M5(J22) and Bristol Airport.
The three en-suite bedrooms have been individually designed, each with a charm and character of their own; all have tea/coffee making facilities, colour television, clock radio, hairdryer and fresh flowers.
Our scrumptious breakfasts are cooked by Mike on the Aga, using only the finest local ingredients, which include our own free range eggs -hen's duck's or geese. The choice is yours!
Breakfast is usually served in the farmhouse kitchen, although you can enjoy it outside over looking the lake, weather permitting. We offer dinner in the evening (2 or 3 courses)by prior arrangement of for those guests who prefer to eat out we can suggest a vaiety of local pubs and reaturants.
During October to March we offer our 'Winter Weekend Breaks' which consists of DBB&L. This includes afternoon tea on arrival, four course dinner followed by coffee and chocolates in the Garden room, plus Bed and Breakfast either a full English or Continental and finally a Traditional Three Course Sunday Lunch. Homefield Cottage is an ideal base, from which to explore the surrounding countryside by walking the numerous footpaths, visiting the local caves of either Cheddar or Wookey Hole.
Both Wells, the smallest city in England, or the Heritage City of Bath are on our doorstep.
Those who wish to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, are more than welcome to enjoy the local wild life from the cottage grounds.
Whether your stay is long or short, for business or pleasure, we look forward to welcoming you to our home.

| Seasons Open: Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter. We have one tarrif throughout the year. However we offer Special Weekend Breaks between October and March. Please see our web-site for details. Morning Glory Twin Bedded Room: £65.00. Topiary Double Room: £70.00. Bordeaux Double Room: £75.00. All rooms are en-suite. Prices are based on double occupancy. A reduction is usually available for single occupancy. We are rarely closed, apart from Christmas and New Year. |

| From M5(J22): Follow the A38 in the direction of Cheddar, for approx. 6 miles, travelling through the villages of Rooksbridge, Tarnock and into Lower Weare. Turn right into Notting Hill Way after Counsells Garage, it is signposted Allerton and Wedmore Golf Club. After approximately half a mile, you reach a school on the right hand side, opposite is Sparrow Hill Way. Turn into this road and follow it until you reach the end of the churchyard wall. Ahead of you on the left hand side, is sign for Homefield Cottage, plus a 'no through road' sign. Turn into this lane and follow to the end. You have arrived! From Bristol Airport: Take the A38 in the direction of Taunton/Bridgwater. Continue on it for approximately eight miles until you reach Lower Weare. Take left turn after BP Garage into Notting Hill Way, signposted Allerton, Wedmore Golf Course. Follow this road for approximately half a mile, until you reach a school on your right hand side. Directly opposite the school is Sparrow Hill Way, turn into it and continue until you reach the end of the churchyard wall. Ahead on the left is a sign 'Homefield Cottage' and a 'no through lane'. Follow this lane to the end. You have arrived! |
