Bitchagreen Cottage is situated on the East side of the beautiful valley of Farndale, in the North York Moors National Park (OS 674 966).
Famous for its tiny wild daffodils in springtime, along several miles of the River Dove, Farndale nestles between the valleys of Bransdale and Rosedale, just six miles from the little market town of Kirkbymoorside.
The cottage sits back from the road, with ample parking for visitors and breathtaking panoramic views over the valley.
Flower and vegetable gardens surround the house, whilst the field is home to our geese and hens; further away, in the orchard, are beehives.
There is an attractive seating area with barbeque, which guests are welcome to use.
The little handgate opposite the guest entrance, leads down to the River Dove, where a delightful two hour circular walk brings you back to the cottage, or a ten minute stroll leads to the local inn.
The guest accommodation, comprising of one twin and one single bedroom, enjoys it's own entrance, hallway, stairs, and sitting/dining room.
Twin Bedroom.
A light, spacious room with pine beams, simply and tastefully furnished, with lovely views over the valley to the East and West, with a further window overlooking the garden; a private bathroom adjoins this room, with a large corner bath and WC.
Single Bedroom.
A bright, beamed room with two windows giving views of the hills and garden; private shower and WC.
Sitting/Dining Room.
Simply furnished to provide comfortable seating, dining area with a woodburning stove; good light for reading.
Two windows provide views over the valley and the garden.
There is a comfort trolley for the use of guests at any time.
Bitchagreen Cottage enjoys oil central heating in cold weather.
Breakfast.
A full English or Continental breakfast is served, including Fairtrade/organic produce where possible, with our own fresh eggs, jams, honey and home-grown fruit in season.
Vegetarians are most welcome.

| Seasons Open: Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter. £25.00 per person - (single night). £22.00 per person - (stays of more than one night). A single supplement of £15.00 applies to the twin room. Children over ten years of age are very welcome. Sorry, we cannot accept pets of any kind. |
