West House is a period Georgian house with an attached Victorian cottage; the house has many period features, including a Yorkshire range fire, which has welcomed many a guest on a chilly day.
"Lovely and welcoming after a soggy day's walking - especially the fire, stoked ready for our return..." - (written in the Guest Book March 2005.)
The twin room has an en-suite bathroom and the doubles - (one has a four-poster bed) - use the house bathroom, however, bookings are made so that it is never 'shared', unless with the same booking.
After a day spent on your favourite activity, you can relax in the comfortable sitting/lounge with Freeview TV.
There is also a kitchen with all modern conveniences, for the use of our guests.
If you stroll down to the excellent pub/restaurant in the village, you will not be disappointed and there are at least three others, a very short drive away.
A hearty breakfast after a comfy night's sleep, will set you up for whatever your day holds in store and the views on our doorstep positively invite you to explore:
Richmond and the Yorkshire Dales to the West, the North Yorks Moors to the East and any number of town and country places in between.
You are assured of a relaxing stay, but if you absolutely cannot bear to leave your work behind, or indeed if you come to work, the cottage now has Wi-Fi broadband.

| Seasons Open: Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter. The cost is £30.00 per person per night, reducing to £25.00 for three nights or more. Reductions can be made for children. There are no hard and fast rules, but it would be helpful if you arrive after 4pm and vacate your room by 11am on the day of your departure. However, arrangements can be made to suit your circumstances. |

| Exiting the A1 at Catterick: Follow the A6136 through Catterick Village, past the racecourse and over the River Swale. Turn right at the traffic lights on to the B1263, passing through Scorton (around the famous raised green). After approximately five miles, turn left at the cross-roads by the garage and keep left into the village. West House is 300 yards up on your right hand side. |
