Velog sits in a quiet residential street, just off of the busy harbour front, in the picturesque harbour village of Borth-y-Gest.
Velog is a large Victorian end of terrace town house with three comfortable bedrooms; all have TVs. clock/radio alarms, hairdryer; two rooms have en-suite shower facilities and one has an en-suite bath facility; all rooms are fully centrally heated and are both spacious and warm.
We offer our guests good home cooking, tailored to their specific dietary needs.
Velog is just a couple of miniutes walk from cliff top paths, commanding outstanding views across to Harlech and the Rhinnog Mountains, to Porthmadog, with views of the Ffestiniog Railway, riding atop of the cob causeway across the Glaslyn Estuary, with its backdrop of Snowdonia Mountain ranges of Cnicht and the Moelwyns.
We are also just a 15 min. walk, or 3/4 mile from Porthmadog, with its Ffestiniog Station and the Welsh Highland Railway; Portmerrion is just 1.1/2 miles away.
Velog also sits at the gateway to the Snowdonia National Park and is within easy reach of Mount Snowdon, Castles, Copper and Slate Mines, Lakes and Mountains.
There are plenty of walks and hikes through pretty lowland valleys, or mountain passes, catering for beginners through to expert level.
The cliff top walks, meander through pretty wooded areas and down to sandy coves, nestling below breathtaking cliff sides.
We also have wonderful sandy beaches, so whatever your holiday requirements, either relaxing soaking up the sun on the beach, or hiking up Mount Snowdon, Velog is at the centre of it all.
Come to Velog and see why our guests return year after year, by experiencing the magic of North Wales!
