    Directions
We are located about 18 miles south of Newton Stewart and 28 miles SE of Stranraer. Ravenstone House is about 4 miles W of Whithorn just off the B7021. The area is covered by the OS Landranger Map 83(1:50000) and Explorer 311 (1:25000). Our national grid reference is NX39584263.

    From Newton Stewart:
From the roundabout on the A75 take the A714 signposted Wigtown. Either go through Wigtown and take the A714 for Whithorn OR about one mile before Wigtown bear right onto the B7005 and follow to Bladnoch where you then pick up the A714 for Whithorn. (Note: the A714 road changes to the A746 at a junction with the B7085 just before Kirkinner).
You will then pass through Kirkinner and Sorbie. Almost one mile after Sorbie, bear right onto a road signposted Ravenstone. Follow this for about 3.5 miles (ignore notices for Ravenstone Cottage) when just before a junction with the B7021 you will find us on the right, the middle house.

    From Stranraer:
Take the A75 for Dumfries. After about 10 miles and near Glenluce, turn right onto the A747 for Port William. Follow the coast road along the shores of Luce Bay. At the roundabout in the centre of Port William take the B7085 for Wigtown and then after about 1.75 miles bear right onto the B7021 for Whithorn. From this junction you have about 2.75 miles to go. Pass Barwinnoch farm and then in about one mile keep a good lookout for a partially hidden junction on the left for Sorbie - turn left and we are the middle house on the left.

    **** PLEASE NOTE: ****
Do not run short of fuel. Many rural petrol stations close at tea time but in Stranraer and Newton Stewart some petrol stations do not close until 2200 hrs (10.00 pm). You may find 24hr petrol in Dumfries.
