    Take a trip on the Babbacombe Cliff Railway down to Oddicombe Beach, on one of the only few original working funicular railways, the Babbacombe Cliff Railway has been transporting visitors up and down the 240 foot cliff face since 1926.

    Just a short stroll from Babbacombe reveals the historic village of St. Marychurch. The pretty, Victorian-style pedestrianised precinct offers a wide choice of independently owned small shops and boutiques.

    No visit to the area would be complete without a few hours spent in Bygones a fascinating Victorian Museum, and the nearby Babbacombe Model Village.

    Directions
    At the end of the M5 motorway carry on along the A380 for approimately 17 miles to Torquay. After the second island on to the A3022 following signs to Torquay and Teignmouth. At third set of traffic lights turn left (Currys store on left MacDonalds on right), Over traffic lights. At top of hill pass petrol station on left, over island along Hele Road. Down hill to mini islands turn left then up Westhill Road(school on left)straight on for half a mile to traffic lights, continue into Warbro Road, take second turning left into Aveland Road. Aveland House is the second driveway on the left.
