    The Don is a family run bed & breakfast in the heart of Snowdonia. We offer comfortable accommodation in Blaenau Ffestiniog with a traditional breakfast at competitive prices.

    There are 3 newly decorated rooms: 2 en-suite and 1 with a private bathroom. We do have one room accessible from the ground floor with a shower, suitable for the "less mobile" guest.
    2-course evening meals and pack lunches are provided on request. Dogs are welcome to visit The Don.

    The Don is perfectly located to explore Snowdonia and North Wales. Walks of the Moelwyns are just minutes away, and the views of the mountains to the rear are breathtaking at any time of the day.

    There is convenient access to transport to all the local attractions, which include the famous Ffestiniog Steam Railway, The Llechwedd Slate Caverns, Portmeirion Village, Snowdonia National Park and also access to the coast and the beach is not far away. Snowdon is just half an hour away.

    Prices are Per Person Per Night:
    Winter: £25.00, 1 March to 1 November: £30.00.

    We are open all year round, check in is after 4.00pm, unless previously arranged. Check out is 10.00am.

    Directions
    The Don is situated on the High Street, about 10 minutes walk from the Station. As you leave the station, turn right and walk/drive up the hill. We are on the right about half a mile. We are easily accessible from the North, via Betws-y-Coed and the A470 with access to Llandudno, Colwyn Bay and other attractions.

    From the south the A470 from Dolgellau provides good access from Shrewsbury and the Midlands and also to South Wales.
    Parking is limited at The Don, road parking is available, my best advice is to pull in outside and we can direct you once you have off-loading your luggage, there is also a free car-park nearby.
    There is a main-line train station in the town.
    Major bus routes also go through Blaenau Ffestiniog to all areas.
