    At Balmashanner for your comfort we have two large double rooms, one small double room, and a single room all equipped with either a single, double or king size bed, a table for your breakfast to be served by the window in your room in the morning.
    The rooms have been recently refurbished to a comfortable standard and each room enjoys Freeview television and access to WiFi internet access.

    The Lour
    The largest room has fantastic views over the Lour estate, it has a kingsize bed, 2 seater sofa, breakfast table by the window, tea and coffee, WiFi access, colour television with Freeview, fridge, clock/alarm, fluffy bath robes, hot water bottles and shared bathroom with shower. This room could also be used as a family room if the children are under 6 yrs of age - please enquire.

    The Strathmore
    Large double room has fantastic views over the Vale of Strathmore, it has a double bed, 2 seater sofa, breakfast table by the window, tea and coffee, WiFi access, colour television with Freeview, fridge, clock/alarm, fluffy bath robes, hot water bottles and shared bathroom with shower.

    The Angus
    Small double room has spectacular views over the countryside, it has a double bed, breakfast table by the window, tea and coffee, WiFi access, colour television with Freeview, fridge, clock/alarm, fluffy bath robes, hot water bottles and shared bathroom with shower.

    The Glamis
    Our single room has views over the Glens and countryside, comfortable single bed, breakfast table by the window, tea and coffee, WiFi access, colour television with Freeview, fridge, clock/ alarm, fluffy bath robe, hot water bottle and shared bathroom with shower.

    All rooms are Non Smoking and centrally heated for your comfort, local literature and reading materials are also available, a welcome pack is also provided with quality toiletries as well as fresh towels. All overnight room prices include a full Scottish or Continental breakfast served in the comfort of your own room - we want to make sure you are ready for your day ahead. Fruit and Specialist teas available if required.


    We Have No Guest Sitting Room.

    Please note that we are not licensed, but feel free to bring your own wine or beer.

    Secure storage is available for bikes, motor bikes, golf clubs.

    Balmashanner House is situated on top of a hill in rural Angus near to Forfar and is only minutes from the A90 road network which services Dundee and Aberdeen. The high vantage point affords extensive views over the Vale of Strathmore to the west and the Braes of Angus to the north. Close to the War Memorial is a shelter and indicator. We are only 5 minutes from Forfar town centre.
