The 'Beech Tree Guest House' is ideally situated within St. Austell town close to the train and bus stations both just a 2 minute walk away.
St. Austell boasts a range of every day shops, restaurants, pubs and bars. Within a 5 minute walk are the libary and leisure centre with indoor swimming pool.
Nearby attractions include the world renowned 'Eden Project'(15 minutes), 'The Lost Gardens of Heligan'(20 minutes), the charming fishing village of 'Mevagissey'(15 mins), the historic harbour of 'Charlestown'(5 minutes), now a world Heritage site with its tallships and maritime museum, a harbour which is now used as a film set for screen and television. Also nearby is the elegant estuary town of 'Fowey'(20 minutes), former home of 'Daphne Du Maurier'
and host of the 'Du Maurier Festival' each May.
The beaches of 'Pentewen', 'Porthpean' and 'Par' are also close by and afford clean beaches and safe swimming. All these places can be easily reached by local public transport-Newquay airport is 12 miles away (25 minutes).
We offer the choice of twin or double rooms ensuite,(sole use available at a supplement). All rooms are on the ground floor, ideal for people with mobility problems they are centrally heated and furnished to a high standard with solid pine furniture and quality soft furnishings.
Rooms come equipped with colour televisions, digital freeview, tea and coffee making facilities wine glasses and bottle opener, radio alarm clocks, mini safes, small fridges, hairdryers and ceiling fans, both double rooms are air conditioned at no extra cost. WIFI connection available. We offer off road parking to all guests.
For Breakfast we offer a selection of fruits (peaches, grapefruit segments, prunes, fresh fruit and a choice of cereals. Greek yogurt with honey and a chice of juices. To follow you have the choice of a traditional full English or lighter Continental option (Croissant, Pain au Chocolate and Brioche - We also offer a Vegetarian option.
If you still have room, you can finish with a selection of white and wholemeal toast served with a choice of preserves. We also offer a selection of Teas and Fresh Ground Coffee.

| By Train/Bus: Exit station and walk up slight hill. At green railings turn right into Cemetery park. Walk half way down to the round flower bed, turn left and we are the white bungalow directly in front of you. By Car: Upon entering St. Austell, follow the signs for the train station. Before the station turn left at the mini roundabout onto East Hill and take the first right turning onto Beech Road. We are at the bottom of the road next to the park. |
