Last season, 2007, several guests extended their stay! - Arduaine is that special! Come and discover the comfort and magical atmosphere for yourself.
Barbara and David at Arduaine offer a unique combination: no other guests (just you!), no pets, no children - blissful peace! You may use your private, elegant oak-floor lounge any time during the day; you have a key to the house and are welcome to come and go as you please.
The en-suite Master bedroom has a large Super King double bed (available as Twin instead), is very stylish and also very spacious with 25 sqm.
Breakfast is truly memorable and is served at your table set with Edinburgh Crystal and Fine China; freshly cooked with a wide choice including real porridge (not microwaved!), local produce and home baked bread. Gluten Free diet prepared by your coeliac hostess.
We are in a quiet location in this small village of Wigtown "Scotland's National Book Town". Coast and mountain views from the village. A short stroll to the Nature Reserve and Bird Hide at the coast; Golf Course; Bladnoch Distillery; Covenanters' memorials; pre-historic Monuments; Gardens; Harbour Villages; Scenic drives on quiet roads; coastal cliff Walks. (40 min Irish Ferries Stranraer/Cairnryan, National Express stop Newton Stewart 6 miles: pick-up can be arranged)
Private off-road parking. Tea/Coffee tray. Hair dryer. Alarm clock.

Arduaine is totally non-smoking; unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets.

Tariff 2008 £28.50 pppn double occupancy (20/3-5/10; from 6 Oct Autumn Offers) Single occupancy per night £28.50 (24/3-30/4), £33.50 (1/5-30/6), £38.50 (1/7-25/9, 29/9-2/10), £54 (20-23/3 Easter, Bank Holidays, and weekends at Book Town Festival 26+27+28/9, 3+4+5/10); from 6 Oct. Spring Specials: Stay 2 nights for £44.00 per person, 3 nights for £66.00 per person in the 'Master' en-suite. Or 1 night for £24.00 per person. Special Bargain: Stay 4 nights for the price of 3 (= £72 per person). The price includes a full, cooked Scottish breakfast. No single surcharge. We are not open on Christmas: 24th - 25th - 26th December. |

| By Car: From A75 roundabout at Newton Stewart (this road A75 runs from Carlisle in the East almost due West to Stranraer) take A714 for 6 miles / 9.5 km to Wigtown. Further directions will be sent with booking confirmation - we are very easy to find ! By Public Transport: Wigtown is on a public transport-bus route (200 yds/m to the bus stop); National Express coach bus stop at Newton Stewart (6 miles / 9.5 km from Wigtown). Pick-up / drop off can be arranged from ferry, train station, bus stop, airport. |
