    Lynton House Bed and Breakfast is situated in the pretty hamlet of Church End on the edge of Shalford village and is 8 minutes from Braintree and Bocking, 25 minutes from Stansted Airport and 5 minutes from Unex Towerlands Equestrian Centre.

    We are conveniently situated to the local wedding and conference venues of Spains Hall, High Barn, Fennes Estate, Gosfield Hall, Leez Priory and Hedingham Castle and also close to the lovely villages and towns of Shalford, Finchingfield, Great Bardfield and Wethersfield, Thaxted and Saffron Walden.

    The bedrooms at Lynton are comfortable, modern, tastefully furnished and decorated and also include electric blankets, tea and coffee making facilities, wash basins, bath robes, towels and toiletries, hairdryers and flatscreen digital televisions with remotes.

    For the extra comfort of our guests there is a large seperate guest lounge which has been furnished and decorated to a high standard and includes sumptious leather reclining settees, digital wide screen television, tea and coffee making facilities and picture windows overlooking the gardens and open countryside

    Should you require transport, Lynton House has its own resident private hire driver and vehicle, which can be booked when making a reservation. Advanced booking is strongly recommended.
