    Rose Castle Farm is situated only 5 miles from the Lake District National Park and directly on the Cambrian Way. A very handy situation for walkers.

    Our beautiful sandstone farm house is within the grounds of Rose Castle, the home of the Bishops of Carlisle since the Thirteenth century.

    We are only a short scenic drive from Keswick (about 50 minutes), Ullswater (about 30 minutes) and the Northern Lakes, and approximately 15 minutes drive from Carlisle and the M6 Motorway. Closer to home the pretty villages of Caldbeck and Hesket Newmarket are well worth a visit, and there are some lovely local walks nearby.

    There is a drying area for wet clothes and boots.

    Directions
    Exit Off the M6 at junction 42. Take roundabout exit marked Dalston.
    Follow this road for aprox 3 miles untill you come to cross roads with Black Lion Pub on your Right. Go straight across for Dalston continue 3 miles over flat bridge. Bridge End filling Station on Left Pub on Right. Go straight on for Wigton. 1 mile take turn off left for Rose Castle. Country road 1 mile come to Rose Castle entrance. Sandstone pillars oak gate and Red Letter box in front of you turn up drive We are the Sandstone house on the Right. Welcome!!
