The White Rose in Windermere makes a perfect base for guests visiting the beautiful English Lake District.
The house was built in 1817 from the Lakeland slate and now offers guests lovely en-suite accommodation.
We have five en-suite bedrooms - four with double beds and one of the second floor bedrooms has a double bed and a single bed - so it can be used for twin or triple occupation.
The two bedrooms on the second floor - with lovely open aspects towards the fells or the distant mountains, can be used for family groups of up to five guests.
We have a superior double bedroom on the first floor which has a sofa and a widescreen TV - with a DVD player so that guests can bring their own films to enjoy.
There are two other standard en-suite bedrooms on the first floor which overlook a sunny courtyard.
All the bedrooms at the White Rose have en-suite facilities of a power shower, toilet and hand basin. Fluffy white towels, shampoo and soaps are included.
You will also find tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits as well as an alarm clock radio and a hairdryer in every bedroom.
In the morning, enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the sunny dining room. We serve a substantial English breakfast and we also happily cater for vegetarians and guests who may have specific dietary requirements. We would appreciate it if you could let us know your needs at the time of booking!
The maps and guides that we have at the house will ensure you see the most beautiful parts of the Lake District - and Caroline is always on hand to help you plan your days.
We offer special three and four night breaks throughout the year - and offer very competitive rates throughout the year.
We are only a five minute walk from the shops, restaurants and pubs in the centre of the village, the railway and bus stations.
