Ambleside Guest House offers very comfortable bed & breakfast in the very heart of the ancient market town of Stratford-upon-Avon.

The house has recently been refurbished and is meticulously maintained to provide for a comfortable stay.

A warm friendly welcome awaits you here at Ambleside, centrally situated opposite a pleasant park and less than 5 minutes walk from the Town Centre, Royal Shakespeare, Swan and Courtyard Theatres.

Ambleside Guest House has been awarded a "4 Star" rating by both VisitBritain 'Quality in Tourism' and the AA and we have just been informed by the AA that we have been awarded one of their highest accolades - Highly commended 4 stars. This is only awarded to the top 10% of establishments in any category so we are delighted with this success.

Your stay includes a full English breakfast, and vegetarian breakfasts are catered for - you won't leave here hungry!

Free wireless internet is also available.

Pricing and Opening Times

Seasons Open: Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter. Our prices vary from £25.00 - £40.00 per person per night depending on the time of year and type of room and include full English Breakfast. Children's rates vary according to age (minimium 4 years). Payment by: Cash, Cheques with a guarantee card, Sterling Travellers Cheques and Credit Cards* (see surcharge). Please be aware that should you cancel your reservation or fail to arrive, you may be charged (a 14 day cancellation policy applies). Surcharge:-there is a 5% surcharge on all credit/debit cards. We are open throughout the year. Check in times by arrangement at time of booking.

Guest Book
We are a family with 2 teenage girls. This was the 3rd time we have stopped at Peter and Ruths Guesthouse. Ambleside is a credit to them, very homely, extremely clean and very well situated only minutes from the town, with excellent breakfast!! Peter and Ruth could not have done anymore to make our stay more welcoming....its not often we are all together as a family and their hospitality meant a lot to us. They are very willing to advise on suitable places to visit and always seem to come up with new ideas. We will be visiting again, we know what to expect and always look forward to our break at Ambleside. Thanks Peter and Ruth for everything Andy, Lou, Laura and Lucy.
