    Pump Cottage is situated on the edge of the lovely village of Upwey (with its ancient wishing well). On a very quiet road with ample off-road parking, four miles from Dorchester, Weymouth and the picturesque village of Abbotsbury. We are very near the inner South West Coastal Path and surrounded by the Wesy Valley Walks, and approximately four miles from the sea.

    There are two pubs and a tearoom about a mile away. We cater especially for walkers and cyclists, with secure undercover storage for bicycles and drying and hosing-down facilities. We have a supply of maps and useful local information. We can always arrange collection/transportation of luggage (or people!) if required.

    Our accommodation consists of one twin-bedded and one double bedroom (both en suite) and one double with private bathroom. Children of all ages very welcome. Cots and high chair can be provided if required.

    We use fresh, local produce, wherever possible, in our cooking. Evening meals can be provided if requested in advance.

    Directions
    From the A.354 (Dorchester to Weymouth road) Proceed over the hill, round sharp hairpin bend and under railway bridge. Take next right turn (Elwell Street) signposted to Upwey village and Old Ship Inn) At T-junction turn right into Church Street. Continue through village, past Wishing Well on left, up Goulds Hill and take first left (Friar Waddon Road) signposted Portesham and Coryates. We are about a quarter of a mile along this road on the right.
