    The Old Chapel and cottage has recently been sympathetically converted to provide excellent accommodation for overnight visitors.

    Located at the very end/start of the Hadrians Wall walk it is an ideal location for walkers and cyclists.

    Bowness on Solway is in an area of outstanding natural beauty and the estuary is home to a host of migrant birds and wildlife.

    The accommodation provides 4 rooms, including a family room with full en-suite facilities. There is also a lounge/kitchen area where guests can cook their own meals or take advantage of the free refreshments on offer during their stay.

    Each bedroom has tv/radio/alarm clock/fresh bedding/towels and a foot spa! for the weary walker.

    The Old Chapel is ideal for groups of up to 12 people wishing to be accommodated together.

    Cyclists are welcomed and there is secure parking for bikes at the rear of the property.

    The owners, Michael and Maureen live in the property next door to the Old Chapel, therefore guests have exclusive use of the accommodation during their stay.

    During the winter months special two day offers are available to birdwatchers wishing to visit the RSPB reserve at Campfield, Bowness on Solway.

    A warm welcome awaits guests and the hope that their stay will be
    a comfortable one.

    Bus No. 93 runs a regular service to and from Carlisle 4 times daily.
    Bowness on Solway is situated 12 miles west of Carlisle, following the Solway estuary.
