In the peaceful countryside of North Shropshire just three miles from the market town of Oswestry and alongside the Montgomery Canal, White House offers superb Four Star accommodation and full vegetarian cuisine from breakfast to evening meals as well as catering for non vegetarians.*
All our rooms are en-suite and have LCD TVs with Freeview and DVD players, radio alarm clocks with iPod connections, free broadband Internet, tea and coffee facilities and a hairdryer. The Master room also has Sky TV and bathrobes.
When you arrive or at any other time, enjoy a relaxing complementary afternoon tea or coffee, either in the courtyard, the resident's reception lounge or your room, as you please.
Wander in the almost seven acres of gardens and grounds, or take a stroll along the Montgomery Canal towpath accessed via our private bridge, or simply relax with a good book, magazine or local guide book, of which there are plenty to choose from, in the residents lounge.
When ready, settle down to a two or three course evening meal in the dining room, or your own room if you prefer.
After a quiet, comfortable and relaxing night's sleep, enjoy a breakfast from our extensive menu, before setting off for your day exploring the area, working or moving on to your next destination.
Need to make a phone call? Calls to mainland UK land line numbers of up to 30 minutes duration are free.
We are true animal lovers, but due to the nature of the property with free ranging chickens ranging and lambs, pets cannot be accommodated - sorry.
* Non vegetarian? You are more than welcome and we provide "meat" options in the evening menu for you.

| From the North: Along the A5/A483 ( from Chester / Wrexham ) Travel south on the combined A5/A483 until you reach Mile End Roundabout,this has a Tourist Information and Esso Garage at the second exit. Take the Third exit for A483 ( Welshpool / Mid Wales ). Take the second left towards Maesbury After 2 miles you will reach Maesbury Marsh. Look for the Navigation Inn and Canal Bridge. White House is situated directly after the canal bridge on your left. From the South: Along the A483 (From Welshpool) Continue past the first Oswestry turning. Take the next right turn towards Maesbury After 2 miles you will reach Maesbury Marsh. Look for the Navigation Inn and Canal Bridge. White House is situated directly after the canal bridge on your left. From the South: Along the A5 ( Shrewsbury, M54, M6 ) At the Nesscliffe roundabout continue straight on onto a dual carriageway at the next roundabout take a left towards Knockin. Continue through Knockin, after the village you will see the sign to Osbaston. Take the next Right towards Maesbury. Follow the road through Woolston Bank, at which point it turns sharp left down the hill. Enter Maesbury Marsh, on approaching the Canal Bridge look for White House on the right just before the canal bridge. Railway The nearest railway station is at Gobowen about 4 miles (5 km) to the North. It is situated on the Shrewsbury to Chester Line, and all services are operated by Arriva Trains Wales. |
