The Beacon is Brecon's smallest guest house. It's a self-contained ground floor flat, and is part of a listed historic town house dating from the 1850s. Situated in the market town of Brecon, it is in the heart of the Brecon Beacons (the highest mountains in southern Britain) yet only five minutes walk from the town centre.
At The Beacon you will always enjoy a friendly welcome and personal service from your hosts, Joanna and Dafydd Jones.
Since we only offer hospitality to one booking at a time you can be assured of individual attention and very high standards of service and cleanliness.
Whether you are coming to Brecon on holiday or business, motoring, cycling or walking, alone or with others, the Beacon will be just right!
Accommodation
The Beacon offers you a twin bedroom, en-suite shower room with toilet and basin, and your own living & dining room with comfortable chairs and colour TV. Wireless internet access is also available. You have your own entrance via the back garden, so you can come and go as you please; there are no restrictions.
The garden is available for guests to enjoy. There is a terrace with garden furniture, as well as a lawned and floral area. Secure storage facilities are available for cyclists, and drying facilities for walkers.
Breakfast
Your day begins with a choice of cereals, fruit juice, real coffee or tea, hot toast and home made jams, followed by a full cooked breakfast.
Vegetarians are also fully catered for, and we always serve organic milk and free range eggs.
