Roundham Lodge is situated in Roundham - a select, quiet area of Paignton only 2 minutes walk from the harbour and 5 minutes walk from the esplanade and town centre. We are the only 5 Diamond lodge in this area which has also been awarded a Silver award by Visit Britain or the English Tourist Council.
The Lodge was built in 1901 for a doctor and family with all the majesty of that era. Over the years the residence has been used as an hotel and more recently completely renovated giving en-suite bedrooms tastefully decorated with an air of spacious elegance.
Most rooms have superb views over the bay, some with balcony. All rooms are centrally heated with many extra comforts including tea-making facilities, Freeview TV, WiFi broadband, direct dial telephones, hair dryers. Some rooms with Super King size 6ft bed, large floor-standing TVs and settees. Our beds are very comfortable and the rooms are spotlessly clean, with a quiet environment for a restful sleep. Each and every room also displays original oil paintings in the traditional style. The Lodge is secure with good private parking, security lighting and CCTV. As such it is quite safe for ladies on their own.
Roundham Lodge is a favourite with our many guests from overseas as well as business persons travelling through the area. Our extensive repeat business speaks for itself and our comments book is open for inspection at all times. We do not have exotic sports facilities but we do have large, comfortable, quiet rooms to relax in, write in or go online from. We also serve a good English breakfast or a tasty smoked salmon on scrambled egg.
For visitors to the area the Lodge is a good central point to visit all the wonderful places of interest. Within an area of half hour or so there is so much to see. The harbour and lovely beaches are no more than 500 mtrs or so. We have places of interest from castles to museums, famous zoo to a model village. Good, reasonably priced eating places from about £5 are 300mtrs away to excellent Italian food about 700mtrs.
There are two good theatres, one in Paignton and the other 3 miles away in Torquay.

| Seasons Open: Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter. Single person occupancy £40-£60 per night per room, including a full breakfast. Double occupancy £60-£90 per night per room, including full breakfast. The above tariff is charged at the same price all year. A small extra charge is made for stays of one night. Above price variation depends on room facilities offered. Open all year except for Christmas and New year. |

| From Paignton bus station or the train station opposite there is a taxi rank. The fare is about £3 to Roundham lodge and the journey takes about 4 minutes. To walk it is about ¾Km. From station walk to sea front, turn right, carry on to mini roundabout, first left, walk past Paignton harbour and take second road on right which is Roundham Road. We are situated second building on the right. By car, use the same directions or if already on the sea front keep going towards Roundham Harbour leaving the Tourist board office and large cinema on your left then instructions as above. |
