Filsham Farmhouse is a 17th century listed Sussex farmhouse, with a wealth of old beams and a large inglenook fireplace where a log fire blazes at breakfast times from early autumn to late spring.

The house is furnished with antiques and bygones to provide the discerning visitor with comfortable accommodation and a glimpse of the past. This can particularly be found in the four poster bedroom which is in the oldest part of the house.

There has been a house on this spot since Norman times and it is listed in the Domesday Book. There are many well authenticated tales of smugglers and shipwrecks associated with the house.

We are situated within easy reach of the sea, and can direct visitors to many lovely beaches as well as country walks through the Fire Hills, local woods and a nearby wetlands nature reserve. The 12th century moated Norman castle at Bodiam is within easy reach as are many other country house and gardens which are open to the public.

There is ample private parking at the rear of the house and many country pubs and restaurants in the surrounding area.
