Worcester Cathedral is England's loveliest cathedral, with Royal tombs, medieval cloisters, an ancient crypt and Chapter House and magnificent Victorian stained glass.
The Cathedral has been a place of prayer and worship for fourteen centuries. The present building was begun in 1084. It is dedicated to Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The Tower affords fine views over the city and county of Worcestershire.
Guided tours for adults and children (lasting approx 1 hour), should be booked in advance. Special needs groups are welcome. Services are held daily in the Cathedral.

Services in the Cathedral:SUNDAY Service: 7.30am Matins; 8.00am Holy Communion; 10.30am The Cathedral Eucharist; 4.00pm Evensong or Evening Prayer. On Sundays in school term there will normally also be a service at 6.30pm Monday to Saturday Services 7.30am Matins, 8.00am Holy Communion, 5.30pm Evensong or Evening Prayer. For other services, and changes to the above, please see the notice boards or Worcester Cathedral website. DAILY each WEEK 7.30am Matins; 8.00am Holy Communion; 5.30pm Evensong (except Thursday when Evening Prayer will be said). 1.05pm Monday - Prayers for Healing 1.05pm Wednesdays - Holy Communion 11.30am Fridays Holy Communion BCP. Guided Tours: May to September: Monday to Saturday 11.00am and 2.30pm. Tower: Easter to end September: Weather Permitting Saturdays , Bank Holidays and School Holidays 11.00am - 4.00pm. Last admission 3.30pm. |

Turn up for a Tour: May - end of October: Monday - Saturday 11.00am, 2.30pm. November - end of April: Saturdays 11.00am, 2.30pm £3 per person, accompanied children free. Tower: April - end of October: Saturdays, bank holidays and weekdays during school summer holidays (weather permitting) Adult £4.00; Child £2.00; Family ticket £8.00.
