Worcester Cathedral is England's loveliest cathedral, with Royal tombs, medieval cloisters, an ancient crypt and Chapter House and magnificent Victorian stained glass.

The Cathedral has been a place of prayer and worship for fourteen centuries. The present building was begun in 1084. It is dedicated to Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The Tower affords fine views over the city and county of Worcestershire.

Guided tours for adults and children (lasting approx 1 hour), should be booked in advance. Special needs groups are welcome. Services are held daily in the Cathedral.

    7.30 Matins; 8.00 Holy Communion; 10.30 The Cathedral Eucharist; 4.00 Evensong; 6.30 Congregational Service (not held during August).

    DAILY each WEEK
    7.30 Matins; 8.00 Holy Communion (except at 8.00 & 8.30 Wednesdays); 5.30 Evensong (except Thursday when Evening Prayer will be said).

    1.05pm Tuesdays - Prayers for Healing
    1.05pm Wednesdays - Holy Communion
    11.30am Fridays Holy Communion BCP.

    Guided Tours:
    May to September: Monday to Saturday 11.00am and 2.30pm.

    Tower:
    Easter to end September:
    Weather Permitting Saturdays , Bank Holidays and School Holidays 11.00am - 4.00pm. Last admission 3.30pm.
