Wolverhampton Racecourse is Britain's first floodlit horse racing track, so we can bring you the thrills of racing day and night, throughout the year. The unique electric atmosphere of a day or evening at the races has enthralled punters and families alike for generations and the modern facilities on offer at Wolverhampton are leading the UK's
racecourses into this millennium in style.
Racing takes place on the all weather flat course throughout the year. Saturday evening meetings are themed to add to the excitement of racing.
Wolverhampton had a racecourse as early as 1825 located in the centre of the town. This was later moved to Dunstall Park.
The biggest transformation was the complete
rebuilding and relocation within the existing site in 1993, creating Britain's first floodlit all weather racecourse. The complex was designed not only to offer quality modern facilities for racedays but by incorporating a hotel and exhibition hall, now operates 365 days a year as a quality residential venue for the West Midlands public and business alike.
