Underwater World is a marine life experience which is
unique to Hastings. Enjoy a voyage of discovery to the ocean depths. On the spectacular journey you will see an amazing range of creatures which live in our local waters and along our shoreline. You will meet enchanting sea horses, stinging jellyfish, camouflaged cuttlefish, sinister octopus, inquisitive rays and lots more. You will be astonished by the incredible variety of colourful characters, all shown in accurate recreations of their natural habitat.
Underwater World's spectacular walk-through tunnel takes you beneath the water for a fish-eye view of the Ocean Reef display. In
this display large pumps produce strong currents recreating the natural water movement on the reef. Take a close look at the rocks and you will see encrusting sponges, algae and anemones; all feeding on the nutrients in the water brought to them by the currents.
