The Story of Rye Town

700 years of Rye history are brought to life in this fascinating and informative show, centred on the beautifully crafted model created to show Rye as it was in the early 19th century. As the story unfolds, the commentary is enhanced by dramatic sound and light effects, all of which combine to capture the imagination in a way which is sure to echo in your mind as you explore the cobbled streets and passages of Rye. Show lasts approximately 20 minutes.

    Rye Heritage Centre

    Rye Heritage Centre provides an ideal introduction to the town, whether your visit is for educational purposes or for pleasure. The centre brings together the Rye Town Model and the Heritage Centre Exhibition.

    Help and information is available covering all aspects of tourism in the area, including details of the many local attractions and places of interest. The gift shop offers a wide range of gifts, souvenirs and postcards.
