At Staunton Country Park, there is something for all the family.
Farm
Sir George Staunton's original Ornamental Farm is home to an amazing variety of animals. Peacocks and llamas share their quarters
with native species like shetland ponies, donkeys, goats and pigs. Don't forget to ask at the Visitor Centre for your chance to feed the many animals you'll meet on your journey around the park.Follies
From the beauty of the traditional Gothic Library to the formal splendour of the walled garden, the Park boasts a wealth of Regency and Victorian architecture from Staunton's era.Fabulous Glasshouses
The purpose built glasshouses, originally designed and built in the 1840's have now been rebuilt
to Staunton's original design. You can experience plant life from around the world encountering many unusual and exotic flowers from the wet and humid tropics, such as Banana, Bamboo, Bird of Paradise, Tea and Coffee plants as well as carnivorous species such as the Pitcher plant. Marvel at the exotic lily house complete with tropical fish such as pacu piranha, guppies and gourami as well as experiencing the magnificent scale of the Giant Amazon Water
Lily during the summer months.Maze and Puzzle Garden
Beyond the glasshouses and gardens, discover the traditional yew hedge maze, created to celebrate the 50 years of rule of Queen Elizabeth II. A devilishly tricky maze that could literally have you going round in circles! Have fun following the maze rules and enjoy talking to total strangers through the speaking tubes.Of course you can only get to the maze once you have found your way through the Puzzle Garden.
Sorry no dogs allowed on the farm (except guide dogs).
For details about group bookings and private opening please contact the park office. All year angling on the ornamental lake.
