Sion Hill Hall was designed in 1912 by the renowned York Architect Walter H. Brierley "The Lutyens of the North". With its unique character and superb layout, the house was designated by the Royal Institute of British Architects as being of "Outstanding Architectural Merit". This accolade was given to Sion Hill as one of the finest houses to be constructed during the Edwardian era. The Hall contains the H.W. Mawer collection of fine antique furniture, porcelain, paintings and clocks all in superb room settings. The Hall is set in it's own grounds with lawns and level gravel paths. Member of the "Herriot Country Attractions Group".

Connoisseurs Tours - by special arrangement. The Connoisseur tour makes a visit to Sion Hill a special occasion. On arrival light refreshments (tea, coffee and scones) are served in the Edwardian kitchen. This will be followed by a personal introduction by Michael Mallaby who lives here, is an expert in the decorative and fine arts and has been involved with the house and its collection for thirty years, including more recently the restoration and refurbishment of the building. The tour of the house follows with our experienced and knowledgeable guides. The visit ends with a walk in the grounds (minimum group size 12, if smaller a minimum charge will apply).
