The award winning National Space Centre is the UK's largest attraction dedicated to space. From the minute you catch sight of the Space Centre's futuristic Rocket Tower, you'll be treated to hours of breathtaking discovery and interactive fun.

2008 welcomes 'Space Now' - a brand new gallery that takes you on a journey of the exploration of the universe using the latest multimedia technology.

Visit the Human Spaceflight: Lunar Base 2025 and become an astronaut! Interactive exhibits test your mental and physical ability to survive in deep space. Think you're ready? Then get ready to blast off on a stunning 3D S.I.M (Spaceflight Induction Module) journey to the ice moon Europa.

The National Space Centre hosts many exciting events throughout the year. In 2008 these include a special Movie Mania Weekend, Rise of the Robots, Astronomy Night and many more… see the website for full details.

    Located just off A6, 2 miles North of Leicester City Centre, midway between Leicester's inner and outer ring roads. Follow brown rocket signs from all arterial routes around Leicester.

    First Bus 54 runs every 10 mins throughout the day (Mon - Sat) from Charles Street and every 20 mins on Sunday.

    First Bus 70 runs from Belgrave Gate to Abbey Lane every 20 mins (Mon - Sat).

    The Space Centre is a short walk away, along corporation Road and onto Exploration Drive.
