During action in 1545, Henry VIII's favourite warship, the Mary Rose, sank in the Solent with over 400 men on board. 437 years later, the world held its breath as she was finally recovered.

  • Disabled Visitors: the Mary Rose is fully accessible by wheelchair users. An audio-guide is also available.

    The Mary Rose gift shop has an imaginative range of gifts inspired by the Tudor Age to suit everyone. Wonderful replicas of artefacts found on board and a comprehensive range of historical books is just part of the collection.
