The Museum is located in the old Town Hall right in the centre of Malton's Market Place. It is renowned for its imaginatively displayed Roman Collection showing the sophisticated lifestyles of the Roman Centurions and civilians who lived in Malton's fort, town and nearby villas. Marvel at the evidence and objects gathered from a long history of local excavation. Special exhibitions are also staged.
Telephone for details of Education and Group Visits. There are special practical activities for Primary Schools, a Teachers Resource Pack and a free planning visit available. Pre-booking is essential to avoid clashes with other groups.
