The Centre for Life is an award-winning science centre where imaginative exhibitions, interactive displays and special events promote greater understanding of science and provoke curiosity in the world around us.
It features a permanent exhibition that tells the story of Human Life through three major themes; Our Origins, which looks at human evolution, Our World, which looks at how we cope with extreme environments today, and Our Future, which investigates the scientific challenges and opportunities before us.
In The Dome sit back and prepare for a visual journey unlike anything else in the region. Using state-of-the-art technology to project images onto a 360° domed ceiling, The Dome is a totally immersive, breathtaking experience.
In the Life Theatre take part in a live science show where awesome experiments and your help unravel science fact from science fiction in a show that always goes with a bang! Plus, enjoy the thrills and spills of a state-of-the-art motion simulator that's full of bumps, bounces, laughs and definitely lots of surprises!Rides and shows change regularly throughout the year.
There's also a programme of touring exhibitions, special events including family activities and lectures throughout the year which means there's always something new to come back to see and do.
