Horse racing at Kelso offers the unique charm of a bygone era, coupled with the very best in modern facilities. Add to this the friendliness of staff and patrons, plus superb high quality National Hunt Racing in very picturesque surroundings and you have the reason for Kelso's reputation as Britain's Friendliest Course.
Kelso's great character is dominated
by the presence of the original grandstand which is flanked on either side by two modern stands. These provide the very best of facilities for both the Members and Tattersalls Enclosures with excellent and uninterrupted, covered, stepped viewing of the whole course.
Kelso's very strong betting ring is sited behind the new Tattersalls Grandstand, thus allowing
all the facilities to be sited much closer to the action than at any other racecourse. This greatly increases the feeling of fun and the excitement and adds enormously to the atmosphere of the whole day.
