Like so many recreational watersports centres, the Water Park is based on old sand and gravel workings, but no evidence of that industry remains to spoil the scenery. A mixture of mature trees and shrubbery now forms a picturesque landscape, abundant with a wide variety of wildlife.
The Caravan & Camping site is grassed, naturally level, and served by well-lit, hard surfaced roads. Electricity supply points are available. There is an amenities building which is well equipped and centrally heated.
The Water Park Lake is used for canoeing, dinghy sailing, windsurfing and sub-aqua. Structured RYA and BCU Courses are run at the Water Park for both adults and juniors. Introductory two-hour Taster Courses in all watersports are available on request. Coaching is given by highly qualified staff and a strong emphasis is put on water safety. All charges are inclusive of buoyancy aids and rescue cover.
The new Residential Centre is now up and running with 20 twin rooms all with en-suite facilites. Group users can benefit from the wide range of outdoor activities available. From Kayaking to Archery, High & Low ropes, and Sailing to Climbing.
There are Teambuilding and Problem-Solving Activities including Raft building, Canadian Canoe Treasure Hunt, Spider's Web, Communication Orienteering and many more. The National Curriculum is also catered for covering Key Stages 1 & 2.
