Harborough Museum is closed until Autumn 2009 while the site is refurbished to hold a new and important exhibition - the Hallaton Treasure!

The museum holds collections of local history and features displays about local industry, personalities and events as well as a display of the Symington collection of corsetry.

There is a good local photographic and historical archive.

There is an active programme of school holiday activities, temporary exhibitions and special events.

Groups can be accomodated if booked in advance.

Opening Times

Harborough Museum is closed until Autumn 2009 while the site is refurbished to hold the new, exciting exhibition - the Hallaton Treasure.

Once re-opened the opening hours will be:

Monday to Saturday 10.30am to 4.15pm.

Hours over the Christmas period and Bank Holidays vary.

Closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, Good Friday, and the last full week in January.Visitors are advised to contact the Museum when planning a visit
