Welcome to Finlaystone with its spectacular views across the Firth of Clyde. We hope you will find something for everyone here, whatever the season. Step back in time and discover its secrets. Stroll through the gardens pausing to appreciate Finlaystone's renowned beauty. Don't miss the 'smelly' garden or the intricate Celtic paving. Enjoy the sweeping lawns and sculptured hedges, and relax in the
walled garden.
Explore the woodlands, go beyond the adventure play areas, picnic and barbecue sites and follow the woodland trails to more tranquil corners. Stop, look, listen: you may even see a Roe deer as you strike into the woods. Follow the Burn as it plunges towards the Clyde, and discover wild berries and mushrooms. Dog walkers welcome. The Rangers are on hand
to share the secrets of the woods with you. Watch out for their annual events program. Remember to dress for the weather!
The Eye Opener visitor centre introduces you to natural history displays, a unique collection of dolls from around the world, the history of the Clan MacMillan, and an appreciation of Celtic art. An annual Celtic Fair is held in late summer.
Related gifts can be found in the visitor shop. Hot and cold snacks and a selection of beverages are available from the Celtic Tree tea room.
Bookings for groups and schools can be easily arranged (school resource packs are available on request).
